Key vehicle specs
The Kia Sportage accounts for an increasingly large proportion of the SUV contract hire market and with justification, it has an awful lot going for it; it is good to drive and the Sportage looks great, which is hardly surprising, as it was designed by Peter Schreyer, who designed the Audi TT.
Whilst there is a four wheel version available, most of our Kia Sportage contract hire customers go for the less expensive two wheel drive version; the typical Kia Sportage leasing client has a family and the vehicle is used almost exclusively on road, often by those who would have previously chosen a hatchback.
Those who don’t have a family generally opt for the Sportage for its good looks; it really does have the ability to turn heads as it drives down the road. However if it’s speed and acceleration you are looking for then the Sportage may not be for you but then most of our clients who lease a Kia Sportage place economy higher on their list of priorities and with a combined fuel cycle of over 40 mpg it certainly fits the bill. The Sportage also comes with a fair amount of kit as standard; even the least expensive model comes with air conditioning, electric mirrors and 16- inch alloys.
There is a lot of competition in this class but not a lot of vehicles that can beat the Sportage. The best alternatives to Kia Sportage leasing are the BMW X1, Ford Kuga, Hyundai ix35 and the Volkswagen Tiguan.
