Last week, for the benefit of those who were unsure of which car to lease, we listed the top selling cars in the UK, which were; The Ford Fiesta, Ford Focus, Vauxhall Corsa, Vauxhall Insignia and the Vauxhall Astra. The top five positions were dominated by Ford and Vauxhall
In case there wasn’t anything that appealed to you there, here are positions six to ten. The sixth most popular car in the UK is the VW Golf. This car has been popular since the 1970’s and with each new model it gets better.
The Golf has excellent handling coupled with lots of class. It also offers tremendous value for money; contract hire rates are low because it holds its value so well, there is never any shortage of buyers for a second hand Golf. You can lease a Volkswagen Golf for just £208 plus Vat per month.
If you want even more class than the Golf then the car in seventh position, the Mini is the car. Mini in name but not in size; apart from when it comes to the boot, but the limited space in the boot doesn’t seem to put anyone off. The Mini is a great car with lots of style. Mini contract hire starts at £188 per month plus Vat.
Next is the ever popular BMW 3 Series, first launched in 1975, it was an enormous success then and has been ever since. At times it has represented 40% of BMW ’s total sales. We have one hundred and sixty five different models to choose from on our website. The 3 Series has a lot of road presence, simply because it’s a BMW; as good as Ford and Vauxhall cars are, it’s not the same as owning a BMW. You can lease a BMW 3 Series for as little as £315 plus vat per month.
Following close behind the 3 Series is the BMW 1 Series. It may be the entry model BMW but it still has more style than say a Ford Mondeo; which can cost you a lot more money. The 1 Series is practical and economical. BMW 1 Series leasing starts at £238 plus Vat per month.
In number ten position is the Nissan Qashqai. This is a very successful model, even Nissan were taken surprise at the roaring success of the Qashqui when it was first launched and have been struggling to keep up with demand ever since. It is a great Crossover vehicle and very comfortable to drive. When writing about the Nissan Qashqai many motoring journalists say “It ticks all the boxes”.
