The new Kia Rio

The new Rio had its debut at the Geneva Motor Show and whilst it will not be on sale until September, we are already receiving enquiries from existing Kia leasing clients, who want details of the Rio contract hire costs. Some of those are approaching the end of a 36 month contract hire term. In these circumstances if they want to wait for the new Rio, one option would be to consider extending their existing lease term.

It is always worth bearing in mind that if you have a non maintained contract, your vehicle will probably be without a warranty for the extended term. If it goes wrong it is the leasing client, not the car leasing company that is responsible for the repair.

This new version of the Rio is longer and it has more room inside and Kia have now introduced a real luxury feel to this model, it looks brilliant. We have seen a very strong demand for Kia Rio contract hire over the past five years and this is borne out by overall sales figures; over the past six years Kia have sold 860,000 Rio’s, 219,000 in 2010 alone. Of those 52,000 were sold in the UK.

Kia is going from strength to strength; nobody would have though that this newcomer to the UK market would start to threaten long established manufacturers. Some salespeople selling other manufacturer’s vehicles were suggesting that a Kia might let you down, being from the Far East etc. Then Kia introduced their seven year warranty and that was the end of that argument.

September is still quite a long way off but if you do wait to lease a Kia Rio , you wont be disappointed.
