Harrods, one the most luxurious department stores in the world was a good choice for Aston Martin to display their new Supermini the Cygnet. Harrods which was founded in 1849 is in the heart of Knightsbridge just where the Cygnet market is probably going to be; we have already had London based contract hire clients enquiring about this new model, keen to lease an Aston Martin Cygnet when they become available in 2011.
We are expecting the demand to be strong in areas such as central London, perhaps not strong compared with other Superminis but strong for a very small car that is expected to cost in the order of £30,000. The car looks great and the interior exudes quality.
At first, priority will be given to existing Aston Martin owners. Residual values are expected to be strong, allowing Cygnet car leasing rates be competitive. This is a perfect car for someone who has the money and wants the prestige but sees little point in owning a Ferrari just to run around central London.
